For Jason, architecture is not just about creating an artistic vision of contemporary design. It is about using his career and talents to help bring about community transformation. Jason grew up in Waterloo Region experiencing how thoughtful and timeless buildings positively impacted his community. This instilled in him a passion for authentic design solutions that result in positive and long-term influences on communities. Having spent his early career in Vancouver surrounded by stunning natural beauty and ecology he gained an appreciation for new ways of looking at city building, architecture, and the environment. Grounded in an understanding that form, light, material, and program can have a profound impact on its surroundings and community he believes in using thoughtful design to help bring about community transformations. Jason’s most recent work includes Google Canada’s R&D Offices in Kitchener, renovations to the Historic Old Post Office in Waterloo, and Gaslight District in Cambridge. Jason enjoys spending time in his community with his wife, family, and friends and exploring the rich natural environment that surrounds it.
